Union Bank Nigeria has continued to support every project made available to them at ensuring that they are not just known as a strong and vibrant financial institution but also an impact making bank.

The bank as part of its effort at contributing to the growth of the girl child development in Nigeria recently took part at the 2018 session of the Girls Coding initiative.

The 2018 session of the Girls Coding initiative is one initiated by Pearl Africa which is aimed at breeding female web programmers that will be able to take over the vast growing digital space of Nigeria and be able to compete with other techpreneurs across the world.

Pearl Africa is a Non-Profit focused on promoting the cause and advancement of vulnerable young girls and women.

Supporting the initiative, Senior Policy Analyst & UN Representative, Mary Kate, state that the initiative will go a long way in bringing the much needed girls’ empowerment and skills training for a strong Nigeria.
