Union Bank Nigeria, does not just wants to be recognised as a banking institution but a brand that also supports quality education and other spheres of economy growth.
As part of the banks social corporate responsibility, it decided to put smiles on the faces of the people in Igbodo community of Delta state, as they were there to renovate the Book Club library that was in a poor state.
The bank was not on this project alone as they partnered with Rural Development Reformation Foundation (RUDERF), to launch the ‘We Lead Mentoring Programme (WLMP),’ which according to the bank is to educate and help identify great potentials in the young generation.
It also stated that the book club was renovated to ensure that they support the reading culture in the minds of many who are ready to study but do not have the means.
According to the bank, “We formally launched the We Lead Mentoring Programme (WLMP), in partnership with Rural Development Reformation Foundation (RUDERF). We also launched a Book Club at Igbodo in Delta state in order to cultivate a reading culture among the young people.”
