Chairman of the United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu, is one man who has tried at ensuring that he put smiles on the faces of Nigerians not just by helping them save their monies but by also showing the humanitarian side of him when the need arises.

The business tycoon left 6 local government areas of Delta state smiling in tears as six trailers loaded with rice gained entrance into the state as relief materials during the lockdown being experienced in some parts of the country.

Reports has it that the local government areas that benefited from the relief materials were Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North and Oshimili South.

Of the six trailers of Rice, one trailer went to his mother’s town, Onicha-Ugbo, while his father’s town, Onicha-Uku, received one, then Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili north and Oshimili South LGA’s, were not left out.

While thanking Mr Tony for the kind gesture, an elated cabinet member of Onicha Ugbo palace, Chief Ken Iwelumo, said, “Last night, April 26, 2020, Onicha Ugbo received a shipment of 600 bags of high-quality rice from Mr. Tony Elumelu, the Group Chairman of UBA Group and Heirs Holdings. This is a gift to his motherland. Words cannot express our gratitude to him during these difficult and uncertain times. We pray that our good lord will continue to shower eternal blessings on him, his family and Elumelu clan.”
