Ogun State Government to Revive Meat Processing Factory

In fulfilment of His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s promise of Government’s support to provide supplementary extension services to the recently empowered 3,500 Ogun State Cassava ABP nominees, the Train-The-Trainers (TOT) Programme for Agricultural Extension Workers commenced on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020, at Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP), Abeokuta.

The training was health and safety compliant with less than 20 participants in each of the numerous locations across the State.

Ogun State continues to support Non-Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) Food Production and Processing Locations in the face of COVID-19 Challenges.

The Ministry is supporting the mechanized maize and smallholder maize farmers; and would work to revive the state of the art meat processing factory that is almost abandoned by the owner in Ilara Remo, Remo North LGA.

The Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture will continue to abide by the current directive by His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun, to support Non-ABP farmers involved in the Food Security Drive in the State.
