Nigeria Needs Mechanisms to Manage Its Diversity – NOA

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has canvassed the establishment of appropriate mechanisms to manage Nigeria’s diversity and harness it for national development.

NOA Director General, Dr. Garba Abari stated this position when he received the Nigerian Ambassador Designate to Angola, Ambassador Adesesan Adetunde, adding that Nigeria’s challenges of recession, agitations, militancy and corruption were surmountable if the right diversity management mechanisms are put in place. He commended government for focusing on agriculture which he described as a sure way of diversifying the nation’s economy and called for the use of social media to galvanize Nigerians for national development rather than promoting hate speech and fake news.

Abari was optimistic of better bilateral relations between Nigeria and Angola, given the Ambassador Designate’s wealth of experience, urging the diplomat to work towards attracting tourism to Nigeria.

In his remarks, Amb. Olatunde, while arguing that Nigeria’s challenges are not peculiar, said Nigeria is a country that lacks nothing apart from patriotism and nationalistic fervor. He pledged to approach his ambassadorial assignment with a sense of commitment and urging Nigerian missions across the world to do more to market Nigeria to the world.
