COVID-19: VAVA Furniture Donates Relief Materials to Lagos, Ogun State

As Nigeria continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, Government and some private individuals have continued to donate various relief materials towards supporting those who do not have enough to put food on their table during the lockdown.

One of such private support is coming from VAVA Furniture as they supported the Lagos state government with 1.000 relief boxes to help Lagosians.

The company believes that with the extension of the lockdown by the Federal government, it is going to pose a serious threat to the livelihood of many who have been living from hand to mouth.

VAVA furniture further promised to send extra 500 boxes to Noella Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation currently sharing relief materials in all parts of Lagos, and an additional 500 boxes to Ogun State to be shared to residents of the State.

According to the Managing Director of the company, MikeTawadrous, “The Coronavirus pandemic marks an unprecedented event in our time. With the extension of the lockdown which poses a threat to people’s livelihood, especially those with little or nothing to sustain them, VAVA Furniture is supporting the Lagos state government with 1.000 relief boxes to help Lagosians.

“In the coming days, we will be sending an extra 500 boxes to Noella Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation currently sharing relief materials in all parts of Lagos, and an additional 500 boxes to Ogun State to be shared to residents of the State.

“We urge everyone to stay home, calm and safe during this period to limit the spread. We will also like to appreciate all the health workers for their sacrifices and also the government for their efforts in combating the crisis. This too shall pass.”
