One of Nigeria’s telecommunication giant, Airtel Nigeria, has decided to take its network train to the city of Oyo state, Ibadan capital as they just launched their 4G network.
Users of the network has been clamouring to have the 4G in its state and the network provider did not fail at listening to their plea as they finally hit the state.
Speaking at the launch, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, said that Oyo State is known as a pace setter in Nigeria and Airtel has continued that tradition by launching their 4G service here first.
Chief Commercial Officer, Ahmad Mokhles, also speaking at the event was filled with joy on how Airtel is not just providing services to Nigerians but also creating jobs for many unemployed youths in the country through the 4G launch.
The event had the likes of MD/CEO Airtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya, OluIbadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Chairman Nigerian Communication Commission, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Communications, Senator Ademola Adeleke and others.
The MD of Airtel closed the launch by giving out 5 4G enabled phones to 5 lucky people in the audience through a mini quiz.
