As part of its efforts towards contributing to the growth of small businesses in the country, Union Bank plc recently partnered with Gartner Calaway, to empower 50 women in Nigeria.

The partnership saw these 50 women from different diverse background being trained and empowered through a sustainable farming scheme.

According to Union Bank, “These women, from diverse backgrounds are driven by a need to provide for their families and improve their communities. Not only do we sponsor their training programme, these women are also taught best business practices, and educated on the different opportunities for women in agriculture by our team.”

Gartner Callaway is a group of companies focused on Urban Farming, Commodity Trading and Sustainability Advisory Services.
