United Bank for Africa (UBA) recently broke the silence on the fire incident that engulfed at its Pension Office at Idowu Taylor Street, Lagos.

The fire according to the bank was said to have erupted from the bank’s generator house as it was eventually put off by the team of UBA and Lagos State Fire Services.

UBA stressed that the fire incident has not affected the bank in any way and did not affect activities at the pension office.

According to the bank, “the generator house of UBA Pension Office at Idowu Taylor Street caught fire. The cause of the fire incident is being investigated by safety officials of the Bank and Fire Services of Lagos State.

“The fire, which was quickly put off by the team of UBA and Lagos State Fire Services was isolated to the generator house as the main business was unaffected.

“We would like to assure the numerous customers of the Bank and those of UBA Pensions Limited that everyone is safe and the incident has not affected the services of either institution.”
