The Tutor- General/Permanent Secretary, Education District 1, Barrister Margaret Titilayo Solarin has applauded a student of Vetland Senior Model College, Agege, Miss Boluwatife Thomas, for producing a video on tips for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
She urged students to make the best use of the various online classes to achieve excellence in their examinations and also leverage on the holiday period to exhume their creative talent rather than engage in frivolities.
Barrister Solarin appreciated the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo, the Chairman of LASUBEB, Mr. Wahab Alawiye-King and other stakeholders for their untiring efforts in getting the best out of students across the State despite the school closure.
The State’s Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharmacist (Mrs.) Akinbile Yusuf and stakeholders in the Tourism and Entertainment industry will meet to discuss issues bordering on revamping the sector from its current state of low patronage and apathy.
The various sessions, according to the Commissioner, promise to be engaging as the speakers would share their various experiences while also relating same to the present situation in the industry globally.
Akinbile-Yusuf expressed belief that the outcome of the webinar session would assist both the government and private sector in coping with the current changes in the Tourism and Entertainment Industry.
